Thailand longtail tuna – purse seine FIP Seminar

On Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Crystal Hotel, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Thailand, Key Traceability in cooperation with Thai Department of Fisheries, Thai Tuna Industry Association, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), Purse Seine Fishery Association (Thailand), and related fishers and entrepreneurs organized a seminar on “Gulf of Thailand Longtail Fishery Improvement Project” (Tonggol FIP) to educate the fishers about MSC and FIP and create a better understanding of the importance of the FIP in various areas, including fishing, the code of conduct in fisheries, sustainable utilization of resources as well as exchanging knowledge on purse seine fishing in Thailand.
